Since founding El Greco Cafe in Downtown Sarasota three decades ago, our family has established a legacy of warm hospitality, classic recipes, and a dedication to quality. The Breakfast Company is committed to honoring that tradition as we seek to innovate the breakfast/lunch experience.
In addition to blending a creative daytime menu with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, the bakery at The Breakfast Company is what keeps customers coming back again and again. Our food is matched by a welcoming customer service experience that treats our guests like family. As our founder "Pappou" George Soublis (G.X.S.) would say, "Welcome my friend!".
THE HISTORY OF SIESTA KEY
Siesta Key was formed out of sands from the Appalachian Mountain. Before becoming a beloved tourist destination, it was a quiet island used primarily for fishing and farming. The Tocobaga and Calusa Native American tribes originally inhabited the area. European settlers arrived in 1846 when Captain Louis Roberts built his home on the island.
Today, Siesta Key maintains its charm and natural beauty, blending a strong sense of community with diverse attractions, shops, and dining options. Renowned for its award-winning beaches, the island invites visitors to enjoy its unique mix of tranquility, culture, and local flavors.
